PRIOR AUTHORIZATION/DENIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Abay Neuroscience Center is searching for a prior authorization/denial management specialist. The job requires the ability to obtain prior authorizations in a timely manner online with Medicare/Medicaid and third party payers for surgeries and diagnostic testing. Confirms patient and insurance information for accuracy and becomes familiar with the electronic medical record in order to complete tasks. Works closely with providers to obtain any needed clinical documentation and communicates with patients and families as needed. Also assists with denial management and appeals for diagnostic testing and surgeries. Becomes familiar with the approval process and steps for individual insurance companies. Communicates with physicians and other clinical staff for any needed care to support an appeal. Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment. Is persistent with problem solving, communication with other team members and the care team. Is able to organize and provide follow through.
