Best Buy Co. has an opening in Richfield, Minnesota for the position of Manager, Marketing Analytics. Identify, develop, support or evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors. Form late, direct, support, and coordinate marketing activities or policies to promote products or services, working with advertising and promotion managers. Develop or provide support in building pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction. Coordinate or participate in promotional activities or trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, or production managers, to market products or services. Analyze marketing surveys to identify potential markets for products or services. Own the operational responsibility of Marketing Mix Modeling and/or Attribution platforms. Own and execute end to end data analytics projects which deliver strategic insights to business partners, leveraging marketing data marts, and model data.
Work in Teradata/Netezza SQL and reporting platforms (Tableau/Power BI) to lead and evolve rigorous data quality and testing of econometric model inputs and outputs, including marketing actuals, forecasts and business data. Contribute to solution design and provide vision for automated technical processes at a conceptual level. Lead engagement with media, finance, and business partners to ensure alignment and engagement, including reconciliation of variances. Workcross functionally within Market & Consumer Insights to synthesize multiple sources of information as needed. Lead investigations and rapid resolution of data discrepancies and data validation. Manage and actively track open issues and delivery to project schedules. Support vendor relationship management with third party modeling solutions. Bachelor's degree or equivalent foreign degree in Business, Management (with an emphasis in Total Quality Management), Marketing, or Data Science, plus two (2) years of experience performing analytics using SQL on platforms like Netezza, Teradata and Oracle; developing Tableau dashboards for senior management; automating data processing/ scripts from various sources, using ETL methodologies on UNIX SAS server; building reports using SAS BASE/ SAS Enterprise Guide and developing batch files and running automated batch jobs using windows/SAS servers. Experience must include working with digital media data, CRM or Marketing analytics and SAS Enterprise Miner for Predictive Modeling/forecasting.
