Aircraft Service Engineering provides technical support to aircraft heavy maintenance at FedEx Base or Vendor locations worldwide, and 24/7 operations support for airframe, systems and avionics, and propulsion issues. Aircraft Service engineers are responsible for analyzing and researching reported discrepancies and providing rectification instructions and direction to their maintenance team customers in a timely manner and authoring dispatch paperwork with repair instructions.
Roles and responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to, the following: • Provide onsite engineering support to select Base/Vendor Maintenance facility operations. • Provide around the clock (i.e. 24 hrs X 7 day) engineering support to Line and Base Maintenance worldwide
- Develop timely repairs, solutions, and engineering substantiations for aircraft discrepancies where existing approved solutions do not exist
- Provide troubleshooting guidance to aircraft maintenance to help resolve in-service problems • Support the development of corrective actions to mitigate causes of delays, cancellations or out of service events to ensure reliability performance goals are met
Successful candidate will possess:
- B.S. Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace) or equivalent • Minimum of 3 years at an airline engineer level or similar role within the industry which encompassed one or more of the following disciplines – aircraft systems, structures, power plant and/or avionics

Good technical writing skills
- Knowledge of FAA Code of Regulations, airworthiness design and substantiation criteria • Knowledge of aircraft alteration and repair approval requirements
- Ability to interpret OEM drawings, systems schematics and wiring diagrams • Experience with Boeing and/or Airbus commercial aircraft types
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
