Job Location: Jersey, NJ
Lead an orchestrated SQA team both technical and business perspectives for specific projects and specific customers.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Work with a team of quality engineering professionals to ensure the highest-quality product delivery; and define measurable metrics to gauge progress against objective QA goals;
- Work with business and development teams to understand product vision, product requirements, and customer requirements;
- Set and drive expectations around quality for major releases grounded in solid customer impact and product understanding;
- Develop QA approaches that fit overall product strategy and the coherence of the system software ecosystem;
- Responsible for development of test strategies and creation of appropriate test harnesses;
- Oversee development and execution of test plans and monitor and report on test execution;
- Install technology at customer locations; train customer personnel; and provide customer service;
- Build team of quality assurance and customer-facing personnel and ensure high-level performance of team;
- Write and maintain status reports on specific customer projects and report on QA matters and customer installations to the executive team;
- Responsible for specific customer installations, training, quality assurance, and on-going support services;
- Responsible for the software build process, including maintaining the libraries and builds, for the entire customer project;
- Lead and maintain quality standards for our products, especially in customer installations, through the use of systematic processes.
- Occasional travel within the United States will be required to install technology at customer locations and to attend conferences and business meetings.
Minimum Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or related field followed by 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, customer focused implementations and project management. Experience must include the following:
- 5 years of software quality testing/architecting with experience in using and maintaining Test Tools Application life cycle management.
- 5 years of SAN/LAN expertise on protocol levels including FC, ISCSI, SAS, IB, TCP/IP.
- 3 years of experience in scripting language including Python, Perl along with noSQL knowledge.
- 3 years of experience with memory-based storage and performance and benchmarking.
- 3 years of managing and mentoring a team of engineers or contractors.
