Field Coordinator - Grassroots Engagement Project
Will assist in organizing public meetings that advance dialogue and activities around state and local food and farming systems and related health equity issues. Will build connections with rural and minority constituents across the state. Focus is on education, organizing and mobilizing communities around issues, developing strong leaders, voter registration education, all geared toward achieving public policy impact.
Ideal candidate will have degree in sociology, anthropology, economic or community development, political science. Knowledge of agriculture and food systems important. Must be self starter but a team player. Excellent communication skills required. Background in Spanish is helpful. Commitment to sustainable agriculture and food systems is necessary.
