We are looking for a hard-working individual who aspires to succeed in a professional organization to join our as a Commercial Credit Analyst at our Westloop location in Manhattan, Kansas.
As a Commercial Credit Analyst you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing and evaluating data to assess the risk for the Bank. The ideal candidate is a great communicator with outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists with: gathering, analyzing and evaluating data and information from customers, and internal and third-party sources; processing and the proper disposition of approved credits; proactively resolving problems that may arise in the processing and subsequent servicing of loans; and monitoring non-accrual loans and loan loss reserve calculations, as well as other functions of portfolio management.
- Analyzes data and generate reports for items including: loan portfolio reports, industry peer data reports and other regular or ad hoc reports as needed or requested. Provides aid in analyzing new loan proposals and analyzing/grading existing loans in accordance with policy.
- Verifies the existence of--and ability to perfect interests in--collateral.
- Communicates with commercial bankers to secure additional documentation or information from borrowers.
- Performs property inspections for draw payments, and completes estimates of value and appraisal addendums./Aids in the proper, and timely, documentation of loans, according to commitments and approvals./Ensures compliance with Bank lending policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and Federal regulations.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in accounting, business administration, finance or economics
- Two years experience in commercial, mortgage or consumer lending, credit analysis or underwriting, preferably with an FDIC insured bank or thrift
TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Exceptional quantitative skills; demonstrated capabilities in qualitative analysis; superior judgment and discernment
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organization and administrative skills
- Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
