Residential Mortgage Closing Review – Disclosure Desk II

As a Mortgage Closing Review - Disclosure Desk II, you will be challenged to review title work, appraisal invoices, appraisal reports, NOV’s for processing. This includes entering loan information into the system, while ensuring that the information is accurate, verified, compliant with company policy, and applicable regulations. You will also perform a variety of tasks to assist processing redisclosing all additional Loan Estimates for loan amount changes, additional services required, update fees for additional deeds. Successful candidates will have a proven ability to meet crucial deadlines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the proper documentation of various forms of real estate loans; build and expand an expertise in understanding loan terms and structures
- Prepare a variety of re-disclosure documents accurately, timely and within compliance
- Collaboratively partner with colleagues to ensure all required disclosure are accounted for and delivered within defined time-lines
- Review title work, closing protection letter, wire instructions, appraisal invoices, appraisal reports and NOV’s
- Help to promote a positive work environment in the department by working as a team with other departments to ensure all areas are covered and all loans are done in a timely manner while maintaining a positive attitude
- Obtain appraisal invoice and paid receipts, pull mortgage insurance when they are not in the file from processor
- Work with processor to confirm closing dates
- Work with title companies to get updated numbers when we need additional deeds, loan amount changes
- Work from a pipeline view for working pre-cd’s, review the entire file for accuracy, update and send info to title to get a completed closing disclosure back to send closing disclosure to borrower
- Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required, college degree preferred
- Minimum one year experience working with initial disclosures
TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Prior experience with regulatory compliance including the new TRID rules
- Working knowledge of federal and state regulations
- Demonstrate an aptitude for figures (numbers)
- Ability to possess accurate typing / data entry with minimal errors
- Excellent customer service skills, with experience working directly with borrowers
- Strong attention to detail
- Very organized and analytical thought process
