GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES - The Cashiering Manager manages all activities related to the receipt and posting of Cash funds through the mail, over the counter, Lockbox, Internet or electronically.
SUPERVISOR – Payment Resolution Director /Payment Analysis Director/Controller (based on facility structure)
SUPERVISES - Cashiering staff
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Manage activities related to PAS Cash Management
• Responsible for electronic measurement of remits electronically posted
• Responsible for maximizing electronic payment posting capabilities for all Payors
• Keep an Accuracy Log
• Prepare cash trending and provide statistics and reports for the PARS Directors
• Coordinate Master file maintenance with PAS Master file designee
• Perform Q/A for Cashiering function
• Screen, interview, and hire new employees
• Arrange for the training of new employees
• Review each staff member’s productivity on a monthly basis and performing annual merit evaluations
• Counsel staff with disciplinary and productivity issues
• Work as a liaison between the Cashiering staff and other Patient Account Services staff
• Resolve issues escalated by Cashiering staff
• Conduct monthly staff meetings
• Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”
• Other duties as assigned

• Project Management - assesses work activities and allocates resources appropriately
• Start-Up Operations - understands complexities and needs to start-up, build and maintain a new Business
EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 4 years cashiering experience required
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience required
