The Compliance Officer/Internal Auditor
Personnel will ensure the policies and procedures of the Bank comply with appropriate laws and regulations. Complete annual compliance risk assessment and perform compliance and regulatory audits according to established schedule and scope.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and update compliance program (including annual risk assessment) and perform audits to ensure compliance with program. Prepare written audit reports for presentation to the Risk Management Committee, department management and the Board of Directors.
Analyze new and pending laws that could directly affect the Bank's current practices. Develop new and revises existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable Federal or State laws and regulations, Notifie all affected parties of resulting changes and/or new procedures adopted.
Coordinate projects that involve information disclosure and policy changes. Coordinate regulatory compliance examinations and audits.
Perform secondary reviews/reconciliations of the Bank's security investment accounts, due from bank accounts, loan suspense accounts and other miscellaneous accounts.
Requirements:
- Five years to ten years of similar or related experience.
- A college degree (BS or BA).
- Good written and oral communication skills. Excellent ability to read, analyze and interpret government regulations, trade publications and internal reports and draw valid conclusions.
