Post Rock Rural Water District is committed to providing safe, clean drinking water to our customers. The Post Rock water system consists of more than 1800 miles of water main pipe, 11 water towers (7 owned by Post Rock), and 8 pump stations. Post Rock also treats water at its water treatment plant, which has the capacity to treat 1 MGD.
We are looking for a team oriented and experienced supervisor to serve as the District’s Superintendent. The ideal candidate is committed to ensuring workplace safety. He/she is an excellent communicator, and is comfortable communicating with staff and elected officials. Utility experience is preferred, but not required. Experience supervising personnel is required. Attendance at monthly Board of Director meetings is required. The successful applicant must possess, or be able to attain, KDHE Operator Certification, appropriate for the system size, within a reasonable amount of time.
The Superintendent position is a full-time position, responsible for the operation and maintenance of the District’s assets, water treatment and distribution, including the responsibility for compliance with State and Federal water standards. Responsibilities of this employee include maintaining all records and enforcing all procedures and policies related to the operation and maintenance of the District including recommendations to upgrade and improve operations.
