Route Sales Manager
Our Safety Kleen branch in Wichita, KS is seeking a Service Manager to join the team. Our most successful Route Sales Managers have experience working in a fast-paced environment in order to bring a high quality of service to customers. Ideal candidates understand what it takes to motivate and direct a staff. They understand that proper motivation involves training, development and setting goals. These individuals know that the key to success is making the customer top priority. They have the ability to do this while still having a strong operational adherence to all DOT, EPA, State and Local Regulations and Safety-Kleen Policies and Procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Train, develop and manage Sales and Service Representatives;
- Manage flow of service requests to ensure customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner;
- Conduct end-of-day check-in / morning check-out process with Service Representatives to ensure daily expectations are met and employees are prepared for the day;
- Fulfill duties of Service Representatives as business demands require;
- Provide field coaching and sales training to Sales Representatives;
- Work to prevent and resolve Route Sales issues and complaints;
- Up-sell at customer locations and general new leads in the field.
Requirements:
- Previous route or sales experience strongly preferred;
- 2+ years’ experience in a developing/mentorship/leadership based position;
- Class B CDL with Endorsements preferred, or ability to obtain upon hire;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and related programs;
- Required attendance at a two (2) week long on-boarding, regulatory and position specific training course that will be held out of town.
Route Drivers
Our National Transportation Class A Drivers perform duties associated with picking waste up at customer location and transporting to a Clean Harbors location or other disposal sites making multiple stops per day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all time
- Waste pick up from customer locations utilizing vans and tankers
- Drivers are responsible for loading and offloading their load
- Ability to travel overnight up to 50% of the time
- Available to work Household Hazardous Waste events as needed
- Maintain daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports
Qualifications:
- Must have a Class A CDL with Hazmat & Tanker Endorsements
- Ability to travel up to 2 weeks at a time
- Ability to use a mobile computer
