Director-Family Preservation

·         Provides overall administrative supervision to the family preservation program.

·         Assesses, analyzes, and resolves administrative problems.

·         Provides supervision and direction to direct reports and to program processes.

·         Prepares evaluations of employees under direct supervision

·         Monitors all operations to assure consistency and compliance with contract requirements and established administrative, financial, clinical, and personnel policies, procedures, and protocols.

·         Liaison with outside agencies, including but not limited to providers and DCF.

·         Provides direct administrative supervision to the supervisors for the family preservation services.

·         Encourages continuous growth & learning in others.

·         Supervise the clinical functions of the Family Preservation program.

·         Provides clinical supervision to Therapists and Case Managers.

·         Assists with the design and development of the program SOPs.

·         Focuses on Clients/Customers and ensures quality of services delivered to client/customer.

·         Promotes the removal of barriers to excellent client/customer services.

·         Works to constantly improve service delivery to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. 

·         Conducts management assessments of area offices operations. Makes management decisions and takes appropriate supervisory action.

·         Ensures that Therapists provide billable Medicaid hours and submits necessary paperwork for Medicaid billing.

·         Shares positive performance feedback that is timely and direct.

·         Communicates effectively and continuously.

·         Operates program/department in a manner which promotes organizational financial viability.

·         Conducts management assessments of area offices operations. Makes management decisions and takes appropriate supervisory action.

·         Participates in strategic planning processes to develop controlled and intentional program growth, consistent with SFCS mission, vision, and ministry.

·         Implements SFCS policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent SFCS Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), rules, personnel policies and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms.

·         Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels.

·         Provides problem solving and technical assistance regarding quality of clinical services and documentation working with PI staff, supervisors and directors.

·         Acts as a change agent and pursues continuous process improvement.

·         Responsible for hiring staff in coordination with adoption supervisor, HR staff, developing and overseeing completion of performance expectations. Conducts corrective counseling in support of and in coordination with the adoption supervisor, and recommends termination when necessary.

·         Responsible for reviewing and evaluating effectiveness/satisfaction data and implementing necessary changes to improve program quality and achieve established outcomes.

·         Ensures clients’ rights are protected.

Masters or better in Counseling and Personnel Services or related field.

Masters or better in Psychology or related field.

Masters or better in Social Work or related field.
