This position supports effective information governance policies by engaging with departmental liaisons and leading process redesign around the creation and capture of company information assets.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Understand and assist with development, planning, administration, coordination, and implementation of information compliance and governance program
- Assist with research, creation, analysis, update, communication, teaching, and maintenance of information management and governance policies, procedures, guidelines, standards, and schedules
- Assist with administration of physical records program
- Handle confidential, privileged, and/or proprietary records, physical and electronic, appropriately
- Develop and deliver ongoing training for embedded departmental liaisons
- Document and analyze business processes and recommend improvements and risk mitigation measures
- Develop understanding of company-specific information assets and understand related retention and disposition requirements
- Develop understanding of permissions and roles that ensure an information management environment that supports accessibility of information
- Manage digitization projects; could include overseeing contractors performing the work as well as operation of imaging hardware and software
- Support routine audits against internal policies and external standards and best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Entry-level to three years’ experience
- Fluency with Microsoft Office 365
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of need to appropriately handle confidential, privileged, and/or proprietary information
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to gather and analyze business and technical requirements
- Certified Records Manager (CRM), Certified Records Analyst(CRA) Certified Information Professional (CIP), or other professional certification related to information governance
- Experience developing/delivering communication campaigns and training
- Experience with compliance and governance tools in Microsoft Office 365
- Experience with e-discovery processes
- Experience with managing digitization processes, document capture, or other document imaging operations
