Assistant Professor - Nursing (Rolling Contract)
Position Responsibilities
The Department of Nursing invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor (rolling contract) position in the College for Adults (CfA) BSN Program. Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and appointment status. This position is grant funded for two years.
Situated in the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health with over 32 health profession programs, the Department of Nursing provides a fertile ground for teaching and interprofessional practice. The nursing community at St. Catherine University is vibrant and dynamic, with a commitment to educating nurses at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels to be excellent and reflective practitioners, fierce advocates for social justice, and visionary leaders who will improve the health care system.
The BSN program is approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing, accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing ( ACEN ), and endorsed in holistic nursing by the American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation ( AHNCC ). A holistic curriculum and compassionate attitude supports students as they matriculate at St. Catherine University. The CfA section of the BSN is offered for diverse adult learners and is designed to embrace multicultural and social justice perspectives on health and healing. The purpose of the program is to advance the study, understanding, and professional practice of the discipline of nursing.

Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will have responsibilities teaching (classroom, online, and the clinical setting) and coordinating academic-clinical partnership activities, and will engage in scholarship and service per University guidelines. Applicants should demonstrate their love for teaching; be passionate about working with diverse colleagues, students, and populations; understand the importance of interprofessional education; and be committed to the scholarship of teaching.

Position Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Master's degree in nursing.
- Eligibility for RN licensure in the State of Minnesota.
- Experience teaching in, coordinating, or leading academic-clinical agency partnerships.
Preferred qualifications:
- Doctoral degree ( DNP , PhD, DNS ) in nursing or closely related discipline.
- Experience teaching prelicensure students in didactic or clinical formats.
