Position Responsibilities
The Occupational Therapy Assistant program at St. Catherine University invites applications for a Program Director position with a full time, rolling contract. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The University of St. Catherine launched the first online Occupational Therapy Assistant program in the country and we continue to lead the field in innovation! Our online program launched in 2014 to address the rising need for professional OTAs throughout the nation. St. Catherine University in St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a comprehensive Catholic university and home to one of the nation's largest colleges for women, with associate and graduate programs for both women and men. The Program Director manages and administers the OTA program, providing leadership and demonstrating professional competence in teaching, scholarship, and service. This Director position involves collaborating with faculty to implement policies, oversee development of activities to support the University, School, and program goals, and monitor and update the curriculum based upon assessment data, faculty, graduate and practitioner feedback and evidence-based practice standards. Responsibilities include:
• Coordinating the achievement of the long and short-range goals of the program with stakeholders, including facilitating strategic planning and implementing adjustments
• Preparing the program's annual report in alignment with strategic goals
• Ensuring that all accreditation standards are met; including maintaining supporting records
• Maintaining ongoing program assessment to directly impact curriculum improvements and student outcomes
• Engaging with faculty and students to elicit input on curriculum and department decisions and activities
• Developing, proposing and managing approved OTA department budget
• Leading OTA faculty and staff in collaborating with colleagues, engaging students, meeting teaching objectives, and following policies
• Celebrating student accomplishments, coordinating academic advising, and maintaining student records
• Overseeing activities related to new and prospective students

The selected candidate is expected to engage in service activities with colleagues, the department, school, campus, community and professional organizations. Position Qualifications
Required qualifications:
• Master's degree
• Eligible for licensure in Minnesota and California
• NBCOT Certification
• Two years of experience in a full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities at the post-secondary level
• Five years of documented experience in the field of occupational therapy including:
o Clinical practice as an occupational therapist
o Administrative experience like program planning and implementation, people management and evaluation and budgeting
o Experience with occupational therapy assistants
Preferred qualifications:
• COTA credential
• Experience teaching online courses
• Experience as a program director
• Experience as a fieldwork educator or coordinator
