Resident Assistant Supervisor

Position: Resident Assistant Supervisor
The RA Supervisor serves to ensure a safe, secure, healthy, clean, and positive environment for families as they make their transition from homelessness through aftercare. This position assists families in service plan implementation by obtaining information and providing feedback regarding their progress toward service plan goals.
Schedule for this position is currently as follows;
Tuesday-Friday 4 PM - 12 AM, with alternating weekend shifts.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Meet with families on a daily basis to assist them with service plan goals and offer education and instruction regarding daily living skills; act responsibly in providing information and empower residents to identify choices in their daily lives
Plan and coordinate evening and weekend recreational and educational activities for children and families residing in the shelter
Ensure safe, secure, healthy, and clean environment by making rounds of the property, both interior and exterior, and reporting situations which need attention, and providing follow up as needed
Document interactions with families using critical incident reports, intake information forms, progress note section of case files, log, etc.
Intervene in crisis situations and assist with conflict resolution as needed by providing mediation and facilitating communication
Responsible for on-call coverage of the program on a regular basis
Design and update monthly staff schedule
Supervise Resident Assistants and Overnight staff
Position Requirements
BSW or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred, Associates Degree required
NYS Driver’s license
Experience working in a human services agency
Previous supervisory and/or management experience in a human service agency a plus
