Position: Social Worker - Residential
Description: The function of the Residential Social Worker is to coordinate and implement treatment for each child in residential care as planned by the treatment team.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Provides clinical treatment to child and family
Acts as liaison between child, family, school, the treatment team including clinical Consultants and residential child care staff, and the referring agency, and
Documents treatment process as required by SCC and by its regulating agencies including;
completion of thorough and up-to-date progress notes
development of the UCR/Risk Assessment
preparation of clinical/diagnostic assessments, court reports, correspondence with other agencies, social summaries
maintenance of accurate and up-to-date data on the child and family
completion of quarterly Treatment Reviews and facilitation of treatment meetings at houses
completion of quarterly Progress Summary Reports
preparation or collection of all materials necessary to bring records into compliance with internal and external agency regulations, e.g., school information, requests for clinical involvement, identification book update, summary reports requested by referring and other collaborative agencies
Directly observes all visits that require supervision as deemed by the county or court.
Position Requirements:
Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited university social work program (M.S.W.) or a Master’s degree in a related field
Certified Social Worker accreditation (C.S.W.)
