HVAC Maintenance Technician

Must live in Fresno/Clovis area.
Compensation: $19 to $21 per hour plus paid health benefits, paid vacation/sick/holiday time.
Responsible for a wide range of duties and responsibilities at one site with 15 buildings of various sizes:
- Repair and maintenance of building equipment and systems ensuring all work is done safely and in accordance with established safety practices.
- Respond to tenant service requests consistent with Service Promise standards. Communication skills and customer service skills are imperative.
- Prompt and courteous response (within 2 hours and no more than 24 hours)
- Fix the problem on the first attempt
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs, general maintenance and preventative maintenance as directed by assigned work orders following all applicable company procedures and safety practices. This work could include the following:
- Diagnose and repair plumbing problems including drain traps, heaters, hot water systems, disposal, faucets, valves, sinks, toilets, drinking fountains (exteriod water features), pumps, etc.
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems including but not limited to incandescent, LED or fluorescent lighting systems, ballasts, outlets and motors.
- Respond to, diagnose and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning to our chillers, boilers, etc. on our (2) 4-story Tower buildings and package units throughout the property including filter change twice a year throughout all our buildings (which includes interior wall and suspended units). MUST BE HVAC proficient and certified.
- Order and change filters throughout all buildings twice a year (Spring/Fall).
- Door repair and adjustments.
- Troubleshoot building components and repair if we can
- Lighting replacement and repairs if needed (ballast replacement)
- General carpentry and painting and cleaning (includes spot cleaning carpets in common areas including all (4) elevator cabs in the (Towers) and removing graffiti throughout property “immediately” when found
- Trash pick-up, parking lot repairs, i.e. fill pot holes, repair roof leaks, re-stripe painted steps and curbs when needed and other miscellaneous work.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintenance of commercial buildings is required. HVAC certification is required.
