Sumner Mental Health Center has an opening for a Parent Support Specialist to provide education, support, networking, and training for families of children or youth with a serious emotional disturbance (SED) in both one-on-one and group settings. Candidate must be the parent or caregiver of a child with a behavioral health diagnosis; 21 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED; valid Driver’s License, motor vehicle insurance, and able to pass background checks. This is a fulltime position with hours including weekdays and some evenings, which requires time-management skills; ability to document services in an electronic medical record computer program, and good communication skills. Preference for prior social services experience.
