Judicial Administrative Assistant
JOB DUTIES:
This is a highly responsible, confidential secretarial and administrative position for a district court judge. Work involves performing routine administrative, advanced secretarial and clerical duties where the sensitivity, scope, complexity and confidentiality of the matters handled distinguish the position from a typical secretarial position. Work requires the exercise of a high degree of initiative, independent judgment and discretion in handling delegated administrative details and the accurate and timely performance of various clerical duties. Instructions, advice and assistance are normally available. Applicant will be required to learn, take direction, communicate well with others, be organized, timely, diligent, hardworking, and be proficient in the use of technology including computers and electronic devices.
Salary
Grade 18/A - $15.04 per hour, plus benefits ($16.58 after one year probationary period)
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Graduation, minimum of three years experience in secretarial and general clerical work. Legal and/or court experience preferred.
DESIRED ABILITIES:
Experienced Administrative Assistant or legal secretary; skilled with computer technology (Microsoft applications); skilled in drafting correspondence, word processing; multitasking essential, willingness to work beyond normal hours if required; excellent organizational skills, filing, scheduling, communicating effectively and experience in general office administration.
