Lead Teacher

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor or Associate degree in child development or early childhood preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience working with assistant teachers or been a member of a collaborative work team.
  • Prior experience with curriculum and assessment development.
  • Prior experience working with pre-school age children and / or Toddler's.
  • Prior experience with literacy and fine arts preferred.
  • Prior experience with PC and MAC computer programs, word processing software, electronic mail, and the internet preferred.

 

Curriculum and Instruction Coach

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood education required.
  • License in Early Childhood Education Early Childhood Unified preferred
  • Experience as a coach or supervisor of educators preferred.
  • Commitment to supporting at-risk students and families.
  • Cultural and linguistic competency appropriate to service area.
  • Flexibility and willingness to help where needed.
  • Prior experience working with pre-school, infant/toddler and children with exceptionalities preferred.
  • Ability to relate positively to young children, parents, and staff.
  • Effective and strong communication skills - oral and written.
  • Proficient in use of PC or MAC based computer software, email, social media, and the internet.

 

Assistant Teacher

Experience and Education:

  • 9 hours of college credit in early childhood preferred.
  • Prior experience working as an assistant teacher or has been employed as a member of an early childhood work team.
  • Prior experience working with pre-school age children or toddlers.
  • Prior experience with computer programs including PC and MAC based word processing software, electronic mail, Facebook, and the internet.

 

Assistant Director 2nd Shift

Experience and Education:

  • Program director license with Kansas Department of Health & Environment for center capacity for up to 100 preschool, school age, infant/toddler and children with exceptionalities preferred.
  • Bachelor or Associate degree in child development or early childhood.
  • Prior supervisory experience working with teachers preferred.
  • Prior experience working with pre-school age children and literacy.
  • Prior experience with MS Office, Facebook, MAC computer, digital technology, and the internet preferred.

 

Additional requirements for most positions:

  • Good health as confirmed by recent physical.
  • KBI and NATSB clearance for teaching.
  • Completion of Signs and Symptoms of Child Abuse and Neglect (with Head Trauma).
  • Completion of CPR
  • Completion of Pediatric First Aid
  • Completion of Basic Child Development (Ages & Stages)
  • Completion of 10 hours of approved in-service clock hours.(can include above)
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend repetitively throughout the day and be able to sit on the floor with children.
  • Must be able to independently ambulate without assistance of crutches or a walker.
