Caregivers & CNA's
The companion and homemaker caregiver is responsible for the care of a client and providing services in the client's home. The caregiver supports the patient and provides the appropriate setting to encourage independence, relief and comfort in the client's home. The caregiver provides assistance with companionship and maintenance/management of household routines including light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, laundry, making their bed, good conversation, errands and transportation. Caregivers keep records of the services they perform and record client condition and progress. The caregivers report changes in a patient's condition to the supervisor.
Qualifications: The caregiver must be compassionate, trustworthy and dependable and have the highest moral and ethical values. They must be patient, honest, in good health and must be willing and able to follow directions. They must be able to read a map and drive a car. Companions and Homemakers should be flexible and quick on their feet.
