ROLE of the POSITION

The Graphic Designer/ Creative Coordinator will conceptualize and design a wide range of collateral in print and electronic mediums for the Division of Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement team and the university. The Graphic Designer/ Creative Coordinator will report to the Division’s Director of Communications. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, engaged, creative, and solution-oriented with a positive attitude and have a comprehensive understanding of visual communication principles and practices. The Coordinator’s work will support the division, UNLV Foundation, and the UNLV Alumni Association; amplify their identity and brand; and help inform, engage and inspire alumni, donors, friends, faculty, staff, students, and community members.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders and applying appropriate branding, visual hierarchy, and usability standards to projects such as logos, newsletters, reports, proposals, flyers, solicitations, direct mail, event marketing, and other deliverables. The Coordinator will manage their workload using best practices for time management, workflow, vendor relations, asset management, and file preparation for production-ready print and digital graphic assets.

 

VACCINATION MANDATE POLICY

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of two years of graphic design experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Comprehensive knowledge of graphic design principles, both digital and print production methods

In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)

Advanced knowledge of photo composition and editing

Demonstrated experience in Word processing, PowerPoint, Foleon, and other presentation software

Basic knowledge of photography, project management

Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines

 

SALARY RANGE

Salary is competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. The position is contingent upon funding.
