Director, Electrophysiology Service – University of Pittsburgh Physicians seeks a Director, Electrophysiology Service in Pittsburgh (Allegheny County), PA, Oversee the administration of the Electrophysiology Services at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh Physician Practices, Ophthalmology; consult on the appropriate electrophysiology equipment required at each site and ensure proper installation and work-flow design; develop and implement training materials for residents, fellows and other clinical personnel as appropriate; develop a long-term financially sustainable electrophysiology consulting program that can be marketed to Pediatric Hospitals and other institutions both nationally and internationally; develop modules of training and packages of required electrophysiology hardware and software to use in these programs; develop telemetry services for the interpretation of acquired data; help to raise awareness of the service to providers both within and outside the system; and assist in the recruitment and retention of personnel needed to appropriately staff and maintain the Electrophysiology Services at UPMC. Must have a Ph.D. degree, or equivalent, in Neuroscience or related field plus 7 years of experience applying skill in visual electrophysiology; leading electrophysiology and ophthalmology clinical services and providing advanced clinical development and administrative leadership.
