ASSISTANT EDUCATOR/ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Position Announcement: Assistant Educator/Assistant Professor, Physical Education
Summary of Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate courses required in elementary and secondary physical education, conduct/disseminate research for Assistant Professor, and provide service to the university, college, department, community, and profession.
Minimum Education: Master degree in physical education, education or a graduate degree in a related field. Preferred Education: Doctorate in physical education, education or terminal degree in a related field. (ABD applicants completing requirements for their degree by August 2020 will be considered.)
Minimum Experience: Evidence of successful teaching in the elementary and/or secondary school setting, skill in the use of emerging educational technologies, evidence of excellent written and oral communication skills, and evidence of the ability to effectively interact with people of diverse backgrounds. Preferred Experience: Successful college teaching experience, established research agenda leading to publication in refereed journals, potential ability to secure external funding.

- Evidence of promoting and supporting diversity and social justice.
- Willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery and learning activities.
- Evidence of communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse students and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty and professionals.
Preferred Licenses, Certifications, & Registrations: Kansas Teachers License in Physical Education.
Start Date: Start date August 1, 2020. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Review of completed applications will begin February 1, 2020 and continue until position is filled.
