The Educational Technologist provides instructional/developmental expertise in the accessible use of instructional and mediated technologies; supports faculty use of the campus Learning Management System, Lecture Capture, Videoconferencing, Streaming and related solutions; assists faculty and staff in designing and developing accessible instructional materials for their curriculum; provides/assists in support for facilities/events hosted at the Media Resources Center; provides training and instruction in the accessible use of educational technologies by staying current with trends and new solutions; provides instructional design guidance, support, and input in the use of instructional technology at the University by using creative strategies to impart new teaching-with-technology tips, etc.; provides appropriate cross-training of expertise-based tasks to other IDA staff and student workers for supplemental as well as backup support. When appropriate, the Educational Technologist may teach to experiment, learn and continue to experience the challenges of teaching with technology (face-2-face, online).
