Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager (PM) in the Tactical Projects/ Technical Services department, which operates in McPherson, Kansas primarily supporting assets of Williams' Mid Continent Frac and Storage. The PM will report to the Supervisor of Tactical Projects / Technical Services. This PM position will manage strategic tactical projects. The PM is primarily responsible for leading project teams in the design, engineering, procurement, land acquisition, environmental permitting, contracting, construction and commissioning of new projects and modifications to existing NGL pipeline, measurement and liquid processing facilities.
Responsibilities:
Thorough project planning and execution utilizing Williams's project management processes:
- Managing Programs and Projects; establishing & controlling scope, schedule and budget.
- Lead and manage cross-functional, remote project teams for assigned projects.
- Identifying, quantifying & managing program & project risks.
- Assisting in the development of contract documents for all goods & services required for projects.
- Coordinating project activities according to schedule.
- Analyzing project performance against baseline (scope, schedule and budget).
- Implementing proper project controls to complete projects on schedule & within budget.
- Develop and implement project plans which include clearly defined risk mitigation plans, schedules, cost estimates, contracting strategies, engineering design, construction, quality assurance, commissioning, and project closure to complete projects on-time, on-budget, and with satisfactory quality and safety results.
- Keep the project team and key stakeholders informed of project status (i.e. schedule, cost, safety, etc.) and scope changes that occur during the life of the project.
- Lead and direct projects while coordinating key functions with internal and external technical resources.
- Interaction with operations, internal technical resources, stakeholders, commercial, engineering, contractors, vendors and inspectors in planning projects and implementing strategies for execution.
- Develop optimum facility solutions that safely maximize cost savings opportunities.
- Participation in process improvement efforts within the organization, such as lessons learned or other improvement opportunities.
- Understand and manage projects within all internal and external compliance laws, policies and procedures both internal and external to Williams.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Absorb, adapt and execute additional responsibilities commensurate to the position as requested by manager or required by other management decisions.
- The successful candidate is expected to attend training courses and conferences to stay current on project management, pipeline industry and other relevant opportunities for our operations as well as self-development.

- Be familiar with applicable industry codes and standards such as Department of Transportation, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (DOT, FERC, PHMSA etc.).

Qualifications:
A Successful Candidate will:
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Have 5+ years of project management and/or engineering design.
- Possess industry specific project management or engineering experience on capital projects or programs.
- Successful experience in operations, engineering, and/or leading projects can be substituted for education.
- Experience conceptualizing viable technical solutions, developing capital estimates, schedules, and driving integration of projects to successful execution.
A Successful Candidate may:
- Possess project management professional certification (PMP).
- Possess engineering license (PE).
