POSITION TITLE: Development Coordinator
JOB TYPE: Part-time
REPORTS TO: Executive Team
RATE OF PAY: $15-$19 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY
Youth Rising is a growing 501(c)3 non-profit agency located in Southern Oregon and Idaho. Under the supervision of the Executive Team, this position will provide support to the Executive Team to include assistance with fundraising events, volunteer outreach & engagement, and stewardship cultivation. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting financial development efforts to increase revenue and provide tactical support required to meet Annual Campaign and Special Event goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Associate Degree and three years work experience in related fields
● Bachelor Degree preferred
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Experience with fundraising preferred
● Experience with grant writing preferred
● Ability to work independently in order to meet established deadlines and goals
● Enthusiastic personality with the ability to develop and sustain harmonious relationships with staff, client partners, volunteers, donors, and community leaders
● Computer literate in MS Office Suite
● Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or basic online graphic design programs
● Experience with database systems ● Ability to manage confidential information and materials
● Demonstrated organizational, administrative & interpersonal skills, with proven attention to detail
● Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
● Assist CEO with grant writing
● Coordinate new capital pledge campaign
● Effectively execute a donor/sponsor stewardship plan under the direction of the Executive Team
● Provide support on a variety of fundraising activities
● Assist with volunteer recruitment and group volunteer activities as needed
● Manage daily donor receipts, acknowledgment letters created and mailed within 48 hours of receipt of donation
● Ensure proper processing, tracking, acknowledgment, recognition of donations and special events, sponsorship commitments, prepare/update event documents as needed
● Make presentations and/or give tours to groups and individuals
● Complete special projects as assigned
● Hold promotional exhibits at community-wide events
