Under the direction of the Executive Vice President, the Associate Vice President of Enrollment for Professional Studies is responsible for the development, implementation and operation of all non-academic functions at Professional Studies with an emphasis on revenue generation activities and budget administration. This includes tuition rates, organizational and educational partnerships, non-academic budget development and administration, marketing, recruiting and retention processes, supervision of non-academic personnel and on-site facilities management.
Position Leadership Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to Professional Studies operations.
- Work collaboratively with the AVP for PS/Online learning to determine innovations and implementation of revenue opportunities for online learning
- Provide leadership in advancing and expanding learning opportunities to include additional programs and training, locations and other revenue generation opportunities.
- Comprehensive understanding of online learning market trends and needs currently and future forward thinking
- Effectively recruit and retain degree-seeking adult students.
- Develop and market life-long learning opportunities by initiating partnerships with businesses, military contacts and appropriate organizations.
- Coordinate non-academic budget preparation in collaboration with the Vice President for Finance. Responsible for budget management of all non-academic PS functions.
- Provide counsel to the President and Executive Vice President concerning the evolving educational needs of adult learners and military personnel.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Vice President.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the AVP of Academic Affairs for Professional Studies and Online Learning to develop a comprehensive PS plan
- Ensure college policies are being enforced by having a thorough knowledge of all academic and operational policies.
- Serve on committees as appropriate.
- Represent PS and SC at internal and external events and meetings when needed.
- Provide a professional, collegial atmosphere when representing Professional Studies or Southwestern College to the general public, campus offices, faculty members, learners and other staff members.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in strategic planning and market-needs analysis related to adult and professional studies programs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in solving complex problems, setting priorities, and implementing programs.
- Proven track record (5+ years) of meeting the educational needs of adult learners.
- College level administrative experience preferred.
- Experience with Military learners
- Excellent computer skills including the use of software within the Microsoft office suite. Willingness to be trained on the college's administrative computing system (SCT PowerCampus) and CRM Salesforce.
- Ability to travel.
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours.
- Interpersonal and professional skills necessary to develop and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of on-campus and off-campus groups, organizations and individuals.
- Master's degree required.
